Lending Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-04
SmartFinFlow wants consumers to be informed, make confident financial decisions, and be protected from predatory or unlawful lending practices. Our network policies are built around that.
Truth and Transparency
Before you enter into any loan agreement, your lender is required to provide you, in writing, which can be electronic, the exact fees, rates, charges, rollover terms and other material details, consistent with the Truth in Lending Act. See our Rates & Fees page for more on current rules in your state.
Fair Lending
Lenders in our network are expected to engage in fair lending practices consistent with the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act, which the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau enforces.
State Regulations
SmartFinFlow encourages lenders to follow applicable federal and state regulations, including local rules on interest rates, maximum loan terms, rollover limits, fees, and cooling-off periods between loans. Note that lenders affiliated with federally recognized tribes may operate under different rules as sovereign entities, while still being subject to federal lending law including the Truth in Lending Act.
